Slash & Bash Film Festival - October 8th
Join the Kansas SPN Family & Mary the Impala at the "Slash & Bash" horror film festival in Topeka from 12p-4pm. The event runs all night long but if you want photos with Mary, get there before 4pm.

Spooks & Spirits 2016 - October 8th
The Kansas Paranormal Research Society (ran by one of our own SPN family members) is hosting a Paranormal Investigation fundraiser, unfortunately for you, the events sold out! However if you show up at will be at the Columbian Theatre (following Slash & Bash) in Wamego, you'll see Mary the Impala hanging around. Even if your not attending the event, you can still swing by, say hi, and get a photo.

Supernatural S12 Premiere Party - October 13th
In the event that you are new (or have been living under a rock). We are bringing in the 12th Season of Supernatural with a bang! Mary The Impala at Haunted House - Octber 28-31st
Mary the Impala will be at Tonybee's House of Horrors (haunted house attraction: http://www.toynbeeshouseofhorrors.com) in Olathe, KS, October 28th-31st. If you want to have a fun evening go see them! What better way to spend your Halloween weekend than at a haunted house with Megan, Marcus, and Mary!

KanCon Update
No real update yet, BUT over this last month we have heard some promising things (from fans and Creation). Creation is currently negotiating contracts for 2018, so hopefully we will hear something soon. I will suggest start saving now if you haven't already.

S12 PREMIERE WATCH PARTY
Watch Party planning is in full swing! Get your free tickets and VIP bags at www.SPNKansas.com. Don't wait to long to decide though, they are going fast, VIP packages too! All profit will be donated to Operation Wildlife to help injured animals in Kansas and Missouri.

VIP packages are the number one way we raise money and we have less than 70 remaining. That may sound like a lot, but we sold 30 packages to the first 100 RSVP's. At that rate we're gonna run out long before we fill the venue. Don't be the 498 person standing in line, be one of the first 100 and get a fun swag bag while helping out a local charity at the same time!

Mary will be at Kansas City Comic Con, Aug 12-14th. Swing by her both and say "Hi" to Megan & Marcus. JULY GROUP UPDATE

WELCOME NEW MEMBERS
We have about a dozen new member that have joined us over the last few weeks. Welcome to the party! If you've never been to an event, don't be afraid to come out and join us. Events are usually small and are nothing more than a much of friends hanging out (even if you've never met anyone before). There's a bunch of great fans around Kansas, don't be afraid to say Hi and make a new friend!

WATCH PARTY UPDATE
We are still in the process of getting a venue booked. Lots of things to consider. When we get something nailed down (which should be soon) we'll let you know! In the meantime, be sure to put in your vacation time at work now so you can have the that night (or the following day) off! The party will be Thursday, October 13, 2016. This year is already shaping up to be bigger and better than last year, so don't miss out!

The annual 'breaking-of-the-internet' is right around the corner! For people participating, you can post in the group page if you are in need of local help for a task, HOWEVER, please don't make 100 posts for things. Remember a lot of people are more than happy to help, but nobody wants to be spammed over it. Making one post and inquiring about multiple items is ideal.

LAWRENCE WATCH PARTY
As information about Season 12 gets released a major watch party will be planned. If you missed last years event, we had 150+ attendees, 5 vendors, Mary the Impala, raised $1300 for charity and an awesome time! This year improvements are being made and it will be even better! First off, Congrats and thanks to everyone for pulling together and reaching the 2,000 Signatures needed for the petition. It was a challenge but nothing we couldn't overcome as a team!

Not 100% SPN related (but if your a prepper/zombie apocalypse person) the Kansas Prepper Expo is April 16&17th in Abilene, KS. Admission is $5 and they have several vendors and training classes.
